Second Try All Alone
This time in the Second Life virtual reality I was all by myself. I went to a couple different islands but one was my favorite by far. I love Christmas time so in the search bar, I search Christmas and found many different places where i could go. I picked Santa's Workshop. It was so pretty there and awesome. When I first arrived there there was Christmas music playing in the background, I immediately started to sing. That is my favorite part of Christmas, its the music. I began to walk around and see what all was around and there were Christmas trees you could buy and many different light and everything. There were lots of little stores everywhere, where you could buy different types of things. While walking around these ladies started to talk, talking about different things. I thought it was funny because they didn't know i was listening. Then out of nowhere while i was walking around the island this snowman tried to start a snowball fight with him. I would have fought back but I was unsure how. This island was very cool. I think its all amazing how this is possible.
Second Life Interactions
Wow! This virtual life is crazy cool. Who would have ever known anybody could make this up. My second life experience started at the greenbush island. We relaxed in some comfy bean bag chairs and talked around the fire pit. Then we teleported to a different island. I was very nervous at this point because I had not done that before. I was afraid i was going to get lost. But everything turned out to be fine. We went to Genome Island where there was lots of science stuff. There was a cool option for a scavenger hunt but we didn't do it. I think it would have been interesting, i might go back in the future and give it a try. Then we flew up up and went a looked at this cell thing. It was really amazing to think that people can actually create this stuff on here. Altogether it was a great experience and i defiantly think i will do it again.
E-Pals Discussion Of Holidays
I went on to epals.com and was searching through some activities to so in the future with my classroom. They were all very interesting, but one stuck out to me. Since it is that time of the year (Christmas time) I would want to do an activity of the different ways people celebrate around the would. I found a teacher from Russia that is looking for another class to discuss the different holidays and festivals people celebrate around the would. This would a great opportunity for any student to learn about.
